Our customers and patients love the small, family atmosphere of Dineen Animal Hospital. Our friendly staff takes time to get to know every patient and their needs. Some of us have been part of this animal hospital for more than 30 years! When you bring your pet in for veterinary care services in Wilmington NC, you’ll be treated like one of the family.

Jeffrey J Dineen, DVM

Veterinarian, Practice owner
Dr. Dineen received his Bacholor of Arts degree in Zoology from the University of NC at Chapel Hill in 1975 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University in 1980. He has practiced in the Wilmington area since hat time. Dr. Dineen served as program chairman and vice president of the NC Academy of Small Animal Medicine in 1985 and 1986 he became president from 1987 – 1990, he served on the NC Veterinary Medical Association Board. Dr. Dineen opened his own practice in Leland, NC in 1988 and moved to the current location on Floral Parkway in Wilmington in 1991. He is currently practicing full time. He enjoys fishing and exercising. He and his wife Donna adopted their dog Roo 7 years ago. Roo was born without 2 front legs and is the love of their life!

Eve Mills, DVM

Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Eve Mills received a Bachelor of Science degree in Laboratory Animal Science from N.C. A & T State University in 1986. She graduated from N.C. State University College of Veterinary Medicine with a DVM degree in 1990. Since graduation she has practiced in Wilmington, Goldsboro, and Shallotte, N.C. Her special interests are preventive medicine and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Mills hobbies include raising chickens for egg production and gardening. She also likes to line dance and attend music festivals, traveling, camping and her family.

Angie Buckalew

Head Technician
Angie is originally from West Virginia, but has called Wilmington her home for a long time. She has been working in the veterinary medicine field for over 28 years and has been with Dr. Dineen since 2001! She is married with three children, two grandchildren, and two cats. She is a true animal lover and never forgets a furry face! When she is not working she loves to spend time with her family and see as many country concerts as possible. Big fan of Duke Basketball and The Redskins.

Chelsie Martin

Technician
Chelsie is originally from Florida, but has moved around a lot being from a military family. She has been calling Wilmington home for 16 years, and in 2017 joined the Dineen family. However she has been working with animals for over ten years. Chelsie is married with 3 kids, and 2 dogs. When she’s not working she enjoys spending time with her family and cookouts with friends.

Katie Hanrahan

Receptionist
Katie is originally from Rocky Point, NY and moved to Wilmington 6 years ago. She has been working in the veterinary medicine field for over 15 years and at Dineen’s since 2012. The clients love her and she knows every pet by name as soon as they walk in the door. Katie loves animals so much that she is a pet sitter in her free time. Along with the pet sitting, in her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends, dancing, and baking.

English Tuttle

Office Manager
English is a Wilmington native and has been with the hospital since 2006. The staff at Dineen’s is like a second family to her, and loves interacting with the clients. At home, she has two active boys, two cats, and one dog. When she’s not working she enjoys the beach and any activities involving her boys.

Melody Wolfe

Vet Tech
Melody is a third generation Wilmington native and grew up bringing her family pets to Dineen’s. She has been working with animals for ten years at various kennels in town and is very excited to be the newest addition to the Dineen family since October 2019! When she is not working she likes to take her dog, Buddy, kayaking, running and to the beach.

Rebecca Murphy

Vet Tech
Rebecca is originally from New York and moved to North Carolina in 2013. She started in the animal field in 2010. Rebecca has 3 geriatric dogs, 1 geriatric cat, and a beautiful baby girl. She joined the Dineen family in 2020 and we are grateful to have her. For fun, she enjoys spending time with her family and anything involving the outdoors.

Samantha Wolff

Veterinary Assistant
Samantha was born in Maine, however she has lived in Wilmington since 2006. Sam worked with Dineen AH in the past and left to start a family. Her husband, son Kai, and her two furry babies are her entire world. But she missed us! Sam rejoined our staff in 2021 and is a great addition to our team. In her spare time, she enjoys cookouts, parties, anything that involves spending time with her friends and family.
